For a well-respected new build developer, we are currently looking for a Technical Co-ordinator to oversee the co-ordination of consultants, review applications and proposals and provide Technical support to other departments.

You will be responsible for pre-contract applications, NHBC registrations and dealing with building regulations. Furthermore, you will be involved in briefing, appointment and co-ordination of Consultants and the interrogation of designs, including value engineering of all working drawing packages. In order to achieve the targets, set by the Critical Date Summary you will ensure that the complete drawing packages are issued on time. You will provide drawings and schedules for Sales brochure production which you will then review to approve the layouts.

Additionally, you will liaise with the Planning team to provide the information required for planning condition approval, and the Housing Association to provide conveyancing plans and attend their monthly meetings. There will be a requirement to provide details of Legal agreements, NHBC warranty information, drawings, and conveyancing plans to Solicitors to enable them to prepare the Sales Legal packs. You will need to be effective at building relationships and willing to take on new responsibilities.

You will be required to support the site teams day to day where necessary, and assist with office administration and record keeping. You should have an awareness of the Section Agreements, including the adoption of roads and sewers on completed developments to support the Engineering and Technical Managers.

As a minimum the role requires you have a HNC or ONC qualification in a Construction related course with a background in Engineering or Architecture. You should have a detailed knowledge of latest Standards, such as CfSH, SBD, HQI, Robust Details, Building for life and Building Regulations. Attention to detail is paramount as well as being able to work on your own initiative. Excellent planning and organisation skills are required, as well as being computer literate with experience using excel and word.

Knowledge or previous use of AutoCAD would be advantageous, as would experience of working in a similar role on a variety of projects including framed buildings and high quality housing.
