Our South West Division is looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join the Division’s Technical team.The RoleThe role of Technical Coordinator will be to support the technical manager in the management and overseeing of technical matters across multiple projects from conception to completionPrincipal accountabilities of the role include:Oversee all technical aspects across multiple projects of varying complexityManage the design process to secure accurate and comprehensive sets of information from the outsetincluding management tendering and appointment of design consultantsProcurement and management of utilities / services and warranties and management of fees budgetDischarge of planning & building regulation conditionsValidating conveyance plans and easementsManaging and satisfying regulatory bodies such as Planning, Building Control,and the Fire BrigadeControl and issue of site information and drawingsLiaise with the Commercial department to ensure all relevant orders are in place and budgets / cost to complete are accurateWork with the site and sales teams to provide support as necessaryExperience, Qualifications and SkillsExperienceArchitectural drawing experienceBrown and green-field housing experienceExposure to medium-rise complex developmentsExperience and knowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standards is desirableExperience working as a coordinator / within a technical function for a volume house builder is desirableQualifications and TrainingQualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a technical subject with relevant experienceCSCS card or equivalentCurrent full UK driving licenceSkills and AptitudeGood understanding of building techniques, materials and regulationsGood knowledge of CDM regulationsStrong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detailMethodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standardsAbility to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective mannerAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to problem solve and delegate effectivelyProficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.Committed to diversity and inclusionWorking ConditionsOffice based role with regular travel to development sites and for meetingsWilling to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours workedCore hoursIn return we can offer you:Competitive annual bonusContributory pension schemeAccess to discounts and benefits portalShareSave SchemeCycle to Work SchemeLife assuranceWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received.
