About the Role
Rootstock is on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Community Manager to nurture and grow our developer community. This role is perfect for someone who combines technical savvy with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You'll be at the heart of our mission to empower developers within the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem, facilitating connections, knowledge sharing, and engagement. The ideal candidate has a background in blockchain technology, experience managing technical communities, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive and active community environment. As a Technical Community Manager, you will lead initiatives to engage community members, facilitate learning and collaboration, and support the overall growth of the Rootstock ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Growth: Implement strategies to engage and grow the Rootstock developer community. Organize and moderate discussions, Q&A sessions, and community calls to foster a vibrant and supportive environment.
Event Management: Plan and execute community events, such as hackathons, meetups, and webinars, to increase brand awareness and community engagement. Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and participants to ensure successful and impactful events.
Content Strategy: Collaborate with DevEx, Core and GTM teams to curate and share relevant, engaging content that resonates with the community. Oversee the development of community-driven content, such as tutorials, success stories, and best practices.
Feedback Loop: Serve as the bridge between the community and the Rootstock product team. Collect and analyze community feedback, insights, and trends to inform product development and improvements.
Community Support: Provide support and resources to community members, helping them navigate the Rootstock ecosystem, solve technical challenges, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate partnerships with other communities, organizations, and influencers within the blockchain space to expand reach and impact.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in managing technical communities, preferably within the web3 space – 2 years minimum.
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and the dynamics of the web3 ecosystem.
Excellent organizational, event planning, and management skills, with a track record of executing successful community events.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of community members and stakeholders.
Experience with community platforms and social media management (e.g., Discord, Telegram, Twitter, Reddit).
Ability to analyze community feedback and trends to derive actionable insights.
Self-motivated, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for fostering inclusive, engaging, and educational community spaces.
