It can get busy, but the culture, training and friendly teams are great here.What you'll be doingReporting directly to the Technical Claims Manager, you'll take on the role of Direct Line Motability Technical Claims Consultant, focusing on settling high-value and complex third-party claims efficiently while safeguarding the company's reputation. As part of a centre of technical excellence for Motor claims, you'll provide guidance and advice to various areas within Direct Line Group. Your responsibilities include managing a portfolio of catastrophic injury and complex claims, conducting thorough investigations, negotiating settlements, and staying updated on legal and procedural developments. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of technical claims handling skills through coaching and training, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency. You'll also play a role in shaping the large loss claims handling strategy within DLG and may represent the company on industry bodies or review groups.
