We are excited to invite applications for the position of M&E Technical Assurance Engineer for a prestigious client. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with Project Leaders in the Project Delivery team to ensure the projects adhere to the highest Mechanical & Electrical standards. Your responsibilities will include verifying on-site installations, ensuring compliance with quality processes, and maintaining the integrity of our Commissioning Standards. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and the flexibility to cover for colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Assurance:

Inspect building services installations to ensure they meet design specifications for completeness and quality.
Witness verifications, testing, and commissioning, and review record documentation for accuracy.
Prepare business cases as required.
Train to become an Authorised Person (AP) for Electrical and Mechanical systems if needed.
Attend off-site Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
Evaluate designs, specifications, scopes, technical submittals, and requests for information from tender to project completion.
Utilise Common Data Environments (CDE).
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and construction works, promptly addressing issues.
Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) before work begins.
Assess commissioning documentation and witness commissioning and testing activities.
Monitor works against approved programmes, identifying and reporting delays or inaccuracies.
Ensure the accuracy of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
Contribute to the development and review of technical standards.
Make timely decisions to notify and address Defects using contract provisions.
Attend factory and site witness testing for compliance verification.Managing, Leading & Resource Management:

Verify on-site resources and monthly cost reports against agreements.
Manage contracts for external Technical Assurance Engineers or other necessary services.
Challenge contractors on non-compliance with standards and specifications.
Perform the role of NEC3 Supervisor when required.
Ensure equipment quality and standards align with design specifications.Stakeholder Management, Planning & Improvement:

Assist in stakeholder management and project presentations.
Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and customer boards.
Effectively plan inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
Keep stakeholders informed of progress and changes.
Identify and address unrealistic project plans.
Arrange contractor access and ensure adherence to estate codes of conduct.
Monitor quality and progress of O&M during construction
Liaise with Project Managers, Leaders, Design Authority, Contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
