Our client are on the hunt for a dedicated Technical Assistant to join their bustling team in Blackpool.

As a Technical Assistant, your role entails various responsibilities. You'll be responsible for entering and updating raw material information and new product specifications onto the technical MRP program. Regular monitoring of approved specifications of raw materials against materials from new suppliers will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you'll approve new raw materials and enter them into the system, complete customer documentation or questionnaires, and develop and enter new customer formulations onto the system while issuing relevant documentation. Responding to customer inquiries within 3 working days with complete and accurate information is crucial. You'll also participate in laboratory-based trials for new raw materials and/or product formulations, attend departmental meetings and training sessions as needed, aid in the investigation of customer complaints promptly, and assist technical with the generation and updating of product and raw material specifications as required. Furthermore, you'll generate Quality Attribute Sheets compliant with customer and legal specifications, report any non-conformities through the CAPA system, and take appropriate action while documenting relevant information. Lastly, you'll review manufacturing processes and collaborate with production/technical teams to enhance systems as necessary.

Hours of Work: 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday with 25 days of annual holiday

Salary: £25,000 depending on experience

Technical Assistant Requirements:


  • Time Management

  • Knowledge of auditing processes and procedures

  • Knowledge of processes used in the manufacture of solid dosage forms and liquid formulation
