Technical Assessor/QAQC Site Representative

As a QAQC/Site Representative Technical Assessor here at Stork you will provide technical specialist expertise support to their relevant third party inspection trade disciplines work scopes. This is through the ongoing support of coordinators and in-field inspectors to ensure that the quality of mechanical, fabrication, welding inspection, NDE, coating works, and overall delivery of service meet Client expectations and Stork business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate Would Have:

* Ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Computer literacy and conversant in Microsoft Office Software Packages

* Extensive level of proven experience in relevant disciplines

* Residence in the North of England and able to travel North and South of the UK on a frequent basis

Skills and Experience

* Time-served or SVQ Level 3 attained in relevant technical disciplines is preferred.

* Extensive level of proven experience in relevant disciplines.

* Can demonstrate (through CV; references in previous employment/competent body), expertise in relevant disciplines in relation to this Technical Assessor role.

* Proven track record and experience in relevant disciplines, this can be in works previously conducted for Stork QS and/or in employment prior to engagement by Stork.

* Effective interpersonal skills including coaching and mentoring.

* Operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

* Computer literacy and conversant in Microsoft Office Software Packages.

* Time management and organisational skills.

* Good verbal and written communication.

* Ability to effectively work on own initiative.

Education

* Hold education qualification ONC/equivalent or higher in Engineering Discipline.

* Ability to demonstrate experience in relevant discipline (Quality Services and Technical Background).

* Sound working knowledge of technical drawings, relevant specifications and working practices.

* Conversant with welding technical standards and practices and hold CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification, as a minimum.

* Paint or Coating inspector – AMPP NACE level 2, ICORR level 2, FROSIO, CSWIP BGAS Site Coating Inspector (2).

* ISO 9001 Lead auditor.

* Understanding of technical report writing principles and practice.

Desirable:

* PCN level 2 (or accepted equivalent) in all relevant NDT disciplines (DPI, MPI, UT, Rad. Interp.).

* PCN Level 3 (or accepted equivalent) in relevant specialist NDT discipline(s) (DPI, MPI, UT), relevant to the specialist areas to which this Technical Assessor role would apply.

* Membership of a recognised Engineering Institute
