Salary
: £75,000 - 85,000 + benefits
We have a great opportunity with one of our retail clients looking for a Technical Architect to join their growing team at an exciting time for the company. You will become their SME on architectural best practice in the Digital and Cloud Engineering spaces, helping on their transition to become an industry leading, fully cloud-native, always-available architecture. The role will involve ensuring that the design of new cloud services and features is optimal, considering various functional and non-functional attributes, including performance, availability, observability, security and cost. Whilst remaining hands-on, you’ll also maintain a strategic vision, ensuring that a fast-paced development cycle converges on your chosen target architecture.
Experience needed:
Relevant architecture experience or an experienced engineer looking to step into architecture
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
UML or a comparable framework (sequence, use case, activity diagrams)
Cloud Architectural Patterns (e.g., SOA, CQRS, BFF)
Software design patterns and practices
Event-driven or message-driven Architectures
Kubernetes and containerisation patterns
APM tools and practices, including Azure Monitor
Understanding of modern software engineering methodologies and digital product lifecycle
