Job DescriptionTechnical Architect - Contract£600-£700 per dayInside IR35Hybrid Working***SC Clearance Required****We are seeking a Contract Technical Architect to join a government project in Scotland. This project has a lot of scope and 6 month initial contract will most definitely be extended. Technical Architect Definition:A ‘full stack’ understanding of the technical design needs for deploying and operating applications at scale – both internal employee-facing apps, and external customer-facing apps Strong on-premise infrastructure knowledge, comprising virtualisation, networking, database and data storage, PKI, in both Wintel and Linux environments Working knowledge of SDLC practises, including software development, configuration management, release management, CI/CD DevOps toolchainsProviding hands-on technical architecture services into the Architecture team, you will solely own and be directly responsible for the development of technical designs, and work with cross-functional delivery teams to implement and deploy those solutions into the Live environment, through the end-to-end delivery lifecycleTechnical Architect Experience requiredCOTS and novel, bespoke technology products alike;API DevelopmentLinuxJava based applicationsContainerisation desirable experience (kubernetes)Microservices Knowledge Cross Domain security solutionsUnderstanding of IT technologies across Business, Data, Application, Technology, Security architecture domains RDBMS and NoSQL platforms Day-to-day working using toolsets including Microsoft Visio, Atlassian Jira / ConfluenceDeep understanding of fundamental technology component building blocks, enabling the architect to operate with bothTechnical Architect - Contract
