Technical Advisor

Our client is a leading provider, manufacturer, and installer of underfloor heating solutions for a wide range of clientele in the commercial & residential sectors.

Due to a strong order book & confirmed customers for the remainder of 2024 and beyond, they are looking to add to their customer service team with a Technical Advisor.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in underfloor heating systems and excellent communication skills to interact with architects, installers, and end clients throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support logistical/project management, front-end sales, and technical assistance while contributing to the maintenance and development of our technical documentation library.

Essential Experience: HVAC/Renewables

Responsibilities - Technical Advisor - HVAC

• Act as a primary point of contact for architects, installers, and end clients from initial project enquiry through to installation and commissioning, providing expert advice and support to ensure successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with logistical coordination and project management tasks, including scheduling, material procurement, and site coordination, to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery of underfloor heating systems.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process, including product selection, system design, and quotation preparation, to address client needs and maximise sales opportunities.
• Utilise in-house software programs, including CAD take-off and drawing measurements, to generate accurate underfloor heating system quotes in accordance with client specifications and project requirements.
• Contribute to the maintenance and development of the company's technical document library, including product manuals, installation guides, specifications, and design guidelines, to ensure accessibility and accuracy of technical information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to internal teams and customers via incoming calls and emails, addressing inquiries related to product failures, control issues, system specifications, and installation guidelines.

Position Requirements - Technical Advisor - HVAC

• Proven experience in a technical advisory role within the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, with a focus on underfloor heating systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of underfloor heating system design principles, installation methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other technical tools for system design and quotation preparation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in project management and sales support functions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes related to underfloor heating systems is a plus.
