About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our Switch Gear department for a dynamic Offshore Wind Farm project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a pioneering renewable energy project and support the team with your technical administrative skills. The role offers a 12-month contract with the likelihood of extension based on project needs and performance. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in our Norfolk office and the remaining two days working remotely from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management:
Maintain and organize technical documentation, drawings, and project files.
Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible to team members.
Handle document control processes and maintain version control.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Input and manage data related to switch gear and project specifications.
Generate reports and summaries for project managers and stakeholders.
Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables.
Coordination and Communication:
Serve as a liaison between technical teams and project management.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners.
Technical Support:
Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to switch gear equipment.
Provide administrative support during testing and commissioning phases.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Procurement and Inventory:
Support procurement activities by managing purchase orders and inventory records.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for project needs.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Support quality assurance processes by ensuring adherence to technical standards.
Participate in audits and inspections as required.
General Administrative Duties:
Perform general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the project.
Manage calendars, schedules, and travel arrangements for team members.
Handle correspondence, both electronic and paper-based.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a technical administrative role, preferably within the energy or engineering sectors.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with switch gear or similar technical equipment is a plus.
High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
