Tech Sales Team Manager - Hybrid/Newcastle

The Opportunity:
Nigel Wright Recruitment are excited to be supporting a dynamic and rapidly expanding Software as a Service (SaaS) company in their search for an experienced and motivated Sales Team Manager.
Our client provides industry leading technology solutions, servicing a range of sectors including government, healthcare and facilities management. The Sales Team Manager will lead, inspire, manage and develop a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to close business leads and drive revenue growth. This is a hybrid role with circa 2 days per week based at the brand new office facilities in Newcastle city centre.
Role Profile:
Develop and execute a solid sales plan to generate new business revenue
Oversee the BDR team’s efforts in performing effective demos and closing the sale
Conduct regular one to ones and annual performance reviews for direct reports
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to ensure their success
Foster a professional and motivated culture within the team
Where needed, recruit, onboard, and train BDRs
Ensure a timely sales pipeline management is carried out to provide a steady flow of new income
Monitor KPIs, track team performance, and implement improvements as needed
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including SDR, Account Management and Customer Success
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
Person Specification:
Proven experience managing a BDR team within a SaaS environment would be highly advantageous
Strong understanding of SaaS / Telecoms / IT products and market dynamics
Experience working in a dynamic, performance driven environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
Previous success in building solid working relationships with stakeholders
