Our international product engineering teams are ripping up our entire estate and building brand-new products as we continue to deliver a single platform which will: delight our guests & owners; unify our brands; and create a culture that cultivates collaboration, innovation and celebration.Job summary:We are seeking a commercially minded, highly skilled and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our finance team in Manchester. This is a new role for an experienced finance professional whose priority is to establish business partnering and performance management of Group Tech and Product, thus enabling high performance of the functions.As Tech and Product Business Partner you will act at a key advisor to the teams' leadership. You will help support the functions to optimise roadmaps through thorough ongoing monitoring of costs and benefits. In addition to continuous evaluation of performance, you will also build business cases to support significant projects and investments. The Tech and Product teams work in an environment where scale and resilience are essential, so ensuring a robust understand the financial implications of these activities on the Group's performance is an essential part of the role.This broad finance role will suit a proactive finance professional with the ability to interact with, and influence, a range of collaborators and has experience in delivering change. A successful candidate will have prior experience in partnering Tech and Product functions in an ecommerce business.We are at an exciting stage in our business strategy, this role is part of our goal to build our finance team to work more dynamically with the business and drive further company growth. Supporting our teams across the business with data driven financial rigour is key to achieving our business goals.What you'll do:Business partnering- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Be a trusted advisor to business leaders in particular the Chief Product Officer and the Chief Operating Officer.- Develop financial awareness across the Tech and Product teams.- Work with teams to proactively challenge and make recommendations on performance and key priorities to drive growth.- Drive process improvements and simplification of the finance operating model working with finance teams across the end-to-end planning and reporting of Tech and Product.- Keep informed about industry trends and market conditions.Performance management and financial analysis- Lead on the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to evaluate Tech and Product performance against, e.g. website conversion metrics.- Deliver insightful analytics through Management Accounts and Director Packs. Working with leadership to ensure strong oversight of their area with detailed ongoing risks and opportunities around initiatives and investments.- Deliver ad hoc financial modelling and analysis to support innovation and business decision making, providing recommendations.Budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning- Drive improvements in analysis and understanding of the investment in Capex and Opex, and the value built through this investment to help support improved management decision making.- Identify and deliver efficiency savings across the cost base and nurture a cost consciousness culture.- Collaborate with teams to develop clear business cases. Ensure benefits and costs are reflected in Group financial plans.- Deliver post investment reviews in a timely manner, sharing key insights with stakeholders to inform future decision making.About you:Essential- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a minimum of +5 years PQE.- Experience working in a high paced ecommerce business partnering Tech and Product teams.- Experience working closely with financial systems teams, ensuring data needs of finance are met.- Financial modelling expertise. Proven track record in working with large data sets to establish effective financial KPIs.- Strong communication skills - you can advise and present information in a simple, easy to understand and compelling way.- Ability to influence senior operational leaders. Someone who enjoys building a rapport and trust with stakeholders and colleagues.- Tech savvy. Easily adapt and use systems effectively for reporting and forecasting.- Positive attitude to deliver on continuous improvements in processes.- Hands-on approach and flexible to priorities.- Attention to detail.
