Team Technical Administrator
LOCATION:
Unit 4, Middle Bridge Business Park, Bristol Road, Portishead, Bristol BS20 6PN
HOURS:
37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
Cook Brown Building Control is a Registered Building Control Approver that provides a high-quality building control service which is licensed by the Building Safety Regulator to ensure building works are completed in accordance with the requirements of the Building Regulation. The service is divided into five technical teams, each responsible for a geographical area – 1) Southwest, 2) Tewkesbury & Birmingham, 3) London, 4) Wales and 5) Special Projects provided through a predominantly centralised administration support team. About the role
The post holder will be responsible to their allocated team of surveyors and work allocation/prioritisation will be provided on a daily basis from the team leader for the area surveying team. Team administrators will be expected to work closely with the surveying team they are allocated to.
The surveying team leader will hold annual PDPRs with the post holder to set and discuss performance targets and review their training manual and competencies.

Knowledge, experience, and training
+ The entry point and progression along the career grade will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
+ In exceptional circumstances the qualifications may be waived when considerable relevant experience and personal capabilities have been demonstrated.
+ The post holder will be appointed at a level appropriate to qualifications and experience. Progression between the grades of this post will be dependent upon the attainment of further qualifications, experience and a competency assessment.

Roles and responsibilities
+ Assisting surveyors with their daily duties ie fee quotes, initial notices
+ Producing formal letters
+ Setting up new projects
+ Issuing Notices and Certificates to clients and Local Authorities
+ Filing site inspection reports
+ Filing acceptance and rejection notices
+ Booking site inspections
+ Dealing with telephone queries
+ General filing of project files
+ Archiving project files
+ Assisting all staff with any ad-hoc tasks
