Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Team Manager based in a Residential home in Hackney.The salary for this permanent Team Manager role is £34,120.Main Duties: We are One Housing and we create places for people to call home and support them to live well. We are passionate about the high- quality support we provide.We offer our colleagues a friendly, collaborative workplace and the chance to build a rewarding career with a not-for-profit organisation that is proud to make a genuine difference to people’s lives, each and every day.Across our young people and homeless prevention services we work with over 400 young people who need support for a wide range of reasons including; those leaving care, teenage parents, ex-offenders and those at risk of offending, young people who have been made homeless and people with mental health needs.Our facilities and services include high to medium supported housing, assessment centres, floating support and supported housing for young parents to help young people gain stability and take control of their futures.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a mixed staff team and ensure the delivery of a high-quality service to complex needs young peoples supported living home in IslingtonProvide support and advice to staff with their day to day work and manage performance issues when and if they ariseEnsure regular team meetings are held and staff are informed about the organisation’s strategic goalsHold day to day responsibility for rota cover and staff deploymentEnsure that all staff receive appropriate induction, training and development opportunitiesPerformance management including setting targets, monitoring and taking action to address any performance issuesEnsure the implementation of the support database and that appropriate records are kept.Participate in the management on call rotaCarry out regular audits of service provision including; health and safetyLiaise effectively with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure referrals and assessment issues are dealt with in a timely fashion, and service utilisation is maximisedEnsure contract compliance, monitoring and service satisfactionAbility to promote customer involvement, choice and diversityBe proficient on electronic recording systemsActively promote the service to internal and external stakeholders
Must Haves:
Have relevant experience of working with young people and parents/familiesBe adept at report writingHave experience in liaising with the professional network, including close liaison with Social Services, Youth Offending Team (YOT), family courts, and safeguarding teamsHave a good understanding of parenting assessments as well as early years foundationHave experience and understanding of child developmentHave previous management experience in a social care settingGood knowledge of safeguarding procedures for adults and childrenExperience of working within an assessment and support planning process relevant to the customer group
