Team Manager (Qualified Social Worker) | Safeguarding | London Borough of Barking & Dagenham*

• Team Manager required to lead and manage a statutory Family Safeguarding Team (aka Child Protection Team / Child In Need Team / Family Support & Child Protection / Long Term Child Protection)
• Hybrid working
• 6 month contract
• Office base: London Borough of Waltham Forest*
• You must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as relevant experience to be considered

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join a busy Family Support & Safeguarding Service.

You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 6 social workers and senior social workers with mixed caseloads of CIN, CP and court work.

You will be confident in risk assessment, decision making, and giving legal instruction.

You will also be a supportive relationship-based manager able to provide regular reflective supervision.

To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.

*Please note this vacancy is subject to the London Agency Worker Pledge Agreement which stipulates:-

• Permanently employed Social Workers are restricted from undertaking an agency role with a London Pledge Borough for a 6-month period following departure (if leaving perm role with London Authority, they cannot move to an agency role with another London Authority for 6 months)
• 3 weeks' notice period may be required (at discretion of manager/council)
• Agency workers must have complete 2 years post AYSE (3 years PQ total), before they can be considered for agency roles within London
