Job Title: Team Manager - Assessment and Safeguarding Team

Location: Haringey Council

Pay Rate: �43 per hour

As a Team Manager in the Assessment and Safeguarding Team, your primary responsibility will be to conduct person-centered Assessments/Reviews for Haringey residents and service users, along with their carers, in accordance with the Care Act 2014. You will work to maximize individuals' independence through preventive interventions, collaborate with voluntary and community groups, and ensure a strengths-based approach guides the process.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, emphasizing high standards of written work and effective interventions.
  2. Conduct Assessments/Reviews holistically, focusing on individual strengths and preventive measures to enhance independence.
  3. Assess, review, and provide support to carers/families.
  4. Ensure Assessments/Reviews align with the Mental Capacity Act, providing advocacy support where necessary and conducting Mental Capacity Assessments.
  5. Utilize the Assessment/Review process to achieve outcomes for service users and hold providers accountable.
  6. Maintain accurate records.
  7. Implement changes to support arrangements and present cases to panels for additional funding.
  8. Work within the framework and principles of the Care Act 2014, emphasizing accessibility, person-centeredness, holistic approaches, and prevention.
  9. Actively participate in supervision sessions.
  10. Understand and work with the Continuing Health Care framework.
  11. Collaborate with commissioning to uphold quality standards and address concerns.
  12. Ensure the safety of service users by managing risks collaboratively.
  13. Understand and adhere to the Haringey Safeguarding Process, raising concerns appropriately and undertaking safeguarding enquiries.
  14. Operate within legislative and organizational frameworks while maintaining best practice standards.
  15. Participate in team meetings to explore new approaches, improve outcomes, and enhance service development.
  16. Collaborate proactively with professionals, organizations, and carers to achieve targets and maximize life opportunities.
  17. Meet performance management indicators within the Assessment Service.
  18. Understand available resources and services within the borough, particularly within voluntary and community sectors, to connect service users and families to opportunities.
  19. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  20. Engage in professional development through mandatory and identified training.
  21. Undergo a DBS check.
