Salary : £19.00-20.50 per hour

Job Description

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for the new position for a reputable company that are a large
manufacturing company. Main duty will be to assist the Production Supervisor in the delivery of a smooth
efficient production capability in accordance with the plant policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

To assist the Production Supervisor in the delivery of a smooth efficient production capability in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
To investigate ways of improving productivity, flexibility including reduction of waste and rejects through coaching and training.
Working with the Production Supervisor and staff reports ensure departmental KPI's are achieved and wherever possible exceeded. Responsible to meet production goals.
To ensure all Health and Safety policies within the organisation are effectively applied.
Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during the day to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
Conduct quality control inspection (BS 6001-1:#####+A1#####1, IS#####59#####999).
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) whilst observing Health and Safety requirements. Ensure a clean and safe work area.
Manage and complete production paper work in line with Company policies and quality system requirements.
Undertake Machine / Press setting responsibilities for your department
Assist in production as is necessary including other duties as are assigned.
Work closely with other departments implementing best practice "LEAN" techniques.
Participate in business development, continuous improvement

Proven record of dealing with safety issues
Strong manufacturing background in machinery
Knowledge of process, procedures and machinery
Good IT skills
