Team Leader - Lower Limb Therapy Service

The Lower Limb Therapy Service (LLTS) is seeking a dynamic and forward thinking Band 6 Team Leader to join us. The successful applicant will be working as part of a specialist nurse led team which is welcoming, proactive and passionate about effective leg ulcer management for all patients in our care. You will work closely with the LLTS Service Lead and Team Leader to provide daily team and clinical oversight for eight clinic locations across the Trust footprint. LLTS also supports housebound patients with specialist assessments in their home. Applicants needs to be flexible and able to meet the challenges of working in a busy clinic-based setting. A passion for healing patients with lower limb ulceration is absolutely essential, and previous line management is desirable. You will work closely with other multidisciplinary professionals where effective communication is essential. Successful applicants will possess a full UK Driving Licence, and daily access to transport. As the team is peripatetic, this role will be based at various outpatient clinics and LLTS office in Dawlish Hospital. This post is full time 37.5 hpw - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Please do contact us for an informal discussion about the role and to visit one of our busy clinics.Main duties of the jobTo line manage, and demonstrate effective leadership to peripatetic team of Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants. To provide evidence-based specialist leg ulcer treatments within LLTS outpatient clinics, delivering high quality care, support, advice, and information to patients and carers. Ultimately enabling patients to maximise independence, and optimise quality of life. To act as clinical advisor, utilising evidence-based practice, to the LLTS team and wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care are maintained. To attend referred patients' homes to deliver specialist lower limb assessments to housebound patients under the care of Community Nursing Services. To liaise with members of the wider healthcare teams - Vascular Podiatry Tissue Viability Service Dermatology GP's and Practice Nurses.About usWhy Work With Us Why join us?
