Team Leader - Fund Accounting Oversight

This covers NAV oversight and fund accounting oversight.The role is also to provide technical and accounting advise internally and to fund boards; and support projects including fund launches, BAU integration and fund mergers / in-species from a fund accounting aspect.The role would suit a technical expert and with knowledge of the following:NAV and Pricing knowledgeProduct knowledge of fund structures - section 110, LP/GP, FCP, RAIF, ICAV, QIF, ELTIF, LTAFsExpertise in private debt, alternative credit, leveraged finance, restructuring, real estate, private assets fund structures, money market fundsFund accounting and regulations (Ireland, Luxembourg, UK, Channel Islands)Instrument knowledge - Private equity / Private Debt / Derivatives / Fixed incomeAccounting policies / GAAPs (IFRS,Fund costs and chargesKey responsibilities for this role & experience:Team leader with responsibility for day to day management of a small team including training and appraisalsFinancial accounting oversight including liaison with administrators, internal teams, and reporting to fund boardsProviding technical fund accounting advice to fund boards and projectsFund accounting oversight including performance fees, income monitoring and costs and chargesExcellent attention to detail and determination to see initiatives through to completionProactive and delivery focused with excellent communication skills - both written and verbalAbility to present to Boards and senior stakeholder clearly and succinctly at varying levels of detailA self-starter with experience of working on projectsAbility to develop, strong working relationships internally and externallyCapability to chair meetings and workshops with stakeholdersGood problem solving and analytical skillsGood organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables to deliver work efficiently and effectivelyReacting positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Have a genuine interest in learning and expanding their expertise and understanding of the challenges and developments impacting the Asset Management industry.Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Qualified Accountant or equivalent professional/academic qualificationHighly experienced individual from an Investment Accounting, Fund Management or Audit background.Strong people management skills with experience of supervising a teamAbility and experience of communicating complex topics clearly and conciselyStakeholder (external and internal) management skillsExperience of presenting to Committees and/or BoardsAbility to demonstrate M&G's valuesWork Level: Manager/ExpertWe have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture at M&G plc, underpinned by our policies and our employee-led networks who provide networking opportunities, advice and support for the diverse communities our colleagues represent.
