They play a vital role in keeping the roads of Greater Manchester safe by prosecuting those that commit offences on the roads.
The Central Ticket Office manages the administration of fixed penalties and traffic offence reports. It also handles prosecutions of offenders who fail to comply with the Road Traffic Act and administers offers of driver education.
Led by Chief Superintendent Mark Dexter the CTO lies within the following main section:
Specialist Operations Planning / Business Continuity / Roads Policing -
This section is led by Superintendent Gareth Parkin and includes: Traffic Network Section (Central Ticket Office, Road Traffic Collision Statistics Unit, Driver Standards, Road Traffic Collision Investigation Unit, Vehicle Examination, FCRU and Traffic Management, Special Escorts Group, Support Inspector and Wolverine, Serious Collision Investigation Unit, Traffic Police Community Support Officers, Road Transport Unit, Road Policing Units and Motorway.
The Team Leader will provide strong leadership for highly motivated and hard working teams within the Central Ticket Office, building effective relationships with both internal and external partners and organisations. They will play a key role in the Central Ticket Office, supporting Teams and other Team Leaders with administrative functions in the processing of fixed penalty offences, driver awareness courses and divisional summons/Postal Charge Requisition offences.
This will include ensuring staff are available to deal with the various processes and progress on various systems, from camera images through to information being laid to the courts in a timely manner. Managing leave and personnel issues.
You will also be required to deal with in detail, complex emails, letters and telephone call from members of the public and the mentoring of your team.
This will also include preparing reports or statement of facts to both Manager and other Team Leaders and disseminating information to the relevant department or officer in the case.
This role is based at Hyde Police Station.
