Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school in Washwood Heath to join their support staff team on a long-term basis. This is an inclusive, committed and caring school where the children are placed at the very heart of everything they do.
Our client wants to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in Year 2 with a child with SEN (autism). Responsibilities in this role include supporting the child to meet their individual needs, providing support to the teacher and showing a high standard of modelling.
This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full-time.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
Experience working in schools in the UK
Minimum Level 3 qualification
Experience supporting children with SEN
Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
Motivating and encouraging the children
Supporting with learning and development
Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and other staff
Giving feedback to parents
Commitment to the role
Being flexible when needed
