Teaching Assistant

A lovely school located in Bargoed are looking for a proactive, experienced Teaching Assistant to work full-time on a long-term basis from June - July with potential of being taken on permanently from September.

About the role:

Position: Teaching Assistant

Pay: Starting at �84 per day (increases dependent on experience & qualifications)

Hours: Mon to Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Contract: June 3rd to July with potential of a permanent role from Sept.

Location: Bargoed

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Teacher in the preparation of materials and learning resources.

• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment

• Supporting individual students or small groups with the learning.

• Supervising students during activities inside & outside of the classroom.

• Supporting the Teacher in implementing lesson plans and delivering instruction

• Assisting with administrative tasks such as photocopying

• Collaborating with staff members t meet the needs of individual students

Requirements:

• An Enhanced DBS check & registration with the EWC

• Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience working within a Primary School setting.

• CACHE Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable.
