Teaching Assistant

We are supporting a friendly, community-oriented primary school in the Warrington area who require a Teaching Assistant to take up an initial temporary contract within key stage 1.

The role will be to start as soon as possible and offers a competitive daily rate of up to �115 ltd for experienced staff.

Duties:

• Supporting a number of classes across key stage one


• Providing HLTA cover during PPA time


• Working closely with the class teachers in order to ensure children are appropriately assessed and their learning needs are met


• Delivering lessons planned and prepared by the class teachers


• Marking work reguarly and ensuring books and floor books are up to date

Requirements:

• Recent UK based experience of providing teaching assistant support to primary school aged children


• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum


• An understanding of classroom procedures and how children learn


• A flexible, caring and adaptive approach to their work
