SENDhelp is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our partner school based in Slough.

The school has been rated Outstanding by its pupil's parents! The Teaching Assistant's role will require you to support a variety of children across the school.

The Role:

  • The Teaching Assistant will support children who have additional SEND needs such as ASD, MLD, PMLD, and SEMH.
  • The Teaching Assistant will support the Teacher and will get the classroom ready for lessons.
  • The Teaching Assistant will support children who need extra support to complete literacy, numeracy, and ICT tasks.
  • As a Teaching Assistant, you be able to Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
  • As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supervising group activities such as outdoor learning, sports, life skills, socialising, and playing with peers.

Requirements:

  • Friendly and good team player.
  • Able to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Enjoy working with SEND children.
  • An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults.
  • Either live in Slough, it is surrounding areas, or within a commutable distance.
