SENDhelp is currently recruiting for 2 or more Teaching Assistants on behalf of our partner school based in the outskirts of Buckinghamshire in the vibrant city of High Wycombe to start immediately.

Our partner school is a special school for 205 children and young people with a broad diversity of complex needs, from Profound and Multiple to Severe Speech, Language, and Communication Needs and Complex Autistic Spectrum Conditions (PMLD to ASC)

Your New School is the product of an amalgamation of two sites with children aged between 3 years to 19 years old. The school has been rated "Good" by Ofsted and continues to work to reflect on its practices, working towards the best possible practice for the children and young people who attend the school. As our new Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a school that prides itself on its values of putting the well-being of children and staff at the centre of the learning process and believes that sustaining success is only seen when embedded in a safe, secure, and happy environment.

The Role:

  • The Teaching Assistant will support children who have additional SEND needs such as ASD, MLD, PMLD, and SEMH.
  • The Teaching Assistant will support the Teacher to get the classroom ready for lessons.
  • The Teaching Assistant will support children who need extra support to complete tasks such as literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
  • As a new Teaching Assistant, you be able to Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
  • You will be supervising group activities such as outdoor learning, sports, life skills, socialising, and playing with peers.
