Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a part-time Teacher of Functional Skills to deliver Functional Skills English to our apprentices. This opportunity is a hybrid role with some home working. You will be working across different Derby College sites and out in the community. Teaching will be both in person and online. The ability to drive and access to a car is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant team providing an outstanding learning experience, through the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment, helping to prepare our apprentices for the next stage in their career.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience of delivering English. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver outstanding Functional Skills English to our apprentice cohort.
You will be qualified up to at least Level 3 in English, and a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable. In addition, you will hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards obtaining this.
