Tax Senior

Tax Senior/ Manager required joining our client an Accountancy Practice located in Barnet to join their busy Tax department. This role involves working on a portfolio of clients consisting of sole traders, partnerships, companies and their directors.The Tax Senior will be working as the first point of contact to a portfolio of client's (biased towards personal tax) and will also assist in managing a couple of Juniors with their work.The Tax Senior role is suitable for an experienced candidate with a good breadth of experience, who lives local to Barnet and is preferably ATT/CTA qualified.Tax Senior Position OverviewTo act as a day-to-day point of contact for the client, and to practice the principles of excellent client service at all timesTo be responsible for undertaking the compliance for both personal and corporate clients (preparing Corporation Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns, Trust and Estate Returns and forms P11D)To provide adequate briefing, supervision and training for junior staff.To develop and maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and coursesTo provide assistance on Tax planning projects including capital gains tax, residence and domicile issues, trusts etc.Work with partners on one-off technical assignments for new and existing clients.To be the first interface for tax/VAT enquiriesTax Senior Position RequirementsThis role requires excellent communication skills and experience dealing with clients.Good technical skills and awareness on how to use legislationGood working knowledge of Iris tax products is preferred.To be considered for the role you must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a mixed tax role.Having obtained the ATT (or equivalent) qualification is essential.Tax Senior Position Remuneration9am - 5:30pm (flexible start/ finish times)25 days + bank holidays2 days a week hybrid working after a successful probationary periodBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
