Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside an absolutely fantastic Accountancy Practice, who are looking to recruit a Tax Manager to join their growing Tax team!Our client is searching for someone who is super self-motivated and keen to join a tax team that continues to expand its tax offering to clients, not just dealing with compliance matters but also focusing on tax planning opportunities and advisory projects.Our client is a very modern firm, who can offer LOTS of opportunities.The Tax Manager role will involve you working extremely closely with the current tax team in place to help ensure they deliver their wide range of tax services in a professional and timely manner to their portfolio of clients.What does our client offer you?25 days paid holidays per year, plus bank holidaysTraining support and development opportunitiesCompany eventsWorking as part of a friendly, supportiveeamThe opportunity for progressionAnd SO much more...What does your role entail?Managing a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients (including directors, sole traders,partnerships, high net worth individuals, non-UK residents and beneficiaries of Trusts)Engaging with clients on a regular basis and attending client meetingsInvolvement in P11D submissionsEngaging in special advisory projectsIdentifying tax planning opportunitiesContributing to business developmentSupporting junior members of the Tax team with their training and development and reviewingTax Returns which the team have also preparedCommunicating with HM Revenue & Customs to seek clearance for tax strategies and to assist clients with enquiries where necessaryWhat do we need from you?3 years minimum experience of working as a Tax Manager and managing a portfolio of clientsClear understanding in all the main areas of tax (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax and VAT)Experience of providing technical advice would be an advantageAccountability when it comes to recording chargeable time and recoverability on tasksThe ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are metGood communication skills and IT literacyHaving a full Driving License would be ideal due to travelling to client sites and meetings.Qualifications we require:Ideally ATT/CTA qualifiedBasic computer skills in Word and ExcelAre you currently in search of a prosperous new opportunity?
