Your job will be crucial in providing great service to customers and consistently reaching goals and targets.This role is a Fixed Term Contract of 12 months and offers flexibility in Hybrid working (ideally 3 days in the office a week, and 2 at home). Our client is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a flexible salary for the right candidate!If you're interested in this unique opportunity to join a successful and supportive company, and further your career in this Tax Manager position, then we would love to receive your application!Responsibilities as a Tax ManagerTeam Management:Establish and communicate clear goals and expectations for the teamImplement engagement plans to foster a proactive and collaborative team cultureRun regular team meetings and ensure efficient workload distributionManage and report on individual and team performance against operational targetsCultivate a performance-driven culture through regular 1-2-1 and check-in conversations with team membersIdentify training needs and oversee the upskilling of the team to deliver best in class service to customersRecognize high performance and reward accomplishmentsAct as a mentor, providing coaching and supporting access to development opportunitiesLead by example, embodying company traits, and embracing change and company strategies Team Management:Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across diverse teams to achieve company objectivesEstablish and maintain trusted partnerships with vendors and partners, delivering top class serviceOversee escalations and complex client issues to ensure Customer SatisfactionDeputize for Director when required, showcasing leadership and decision-making skills to uphold operational excellence Continuous Improvement:Cultivate a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and automation within the teamDevelop a broad understanding of operational processes and functions that partner with the team to drive efficiency or deliver on strategyHost Team-Based Problem Solving (LEAN) sessions and facilitate solutionsMake data-informed decisions and champion the importance of quality dataEnsure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), building in effective monitoring and control processesFacilitate collaboration between with Senior Analysts and Operational Delivery Leads to ensure SOPs are well documented and kept up to date Experience / Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant 5-year experienceStrong professional written and verbal communication skillsExcellent leadership skills, including the ability to set clear expectations and manage performance effectivelySolid understanding of team dynamics and motivational factors with experience leading diverse, hybrid teamsExcellent organization skills, demonstrating attention to detail, diligence, and follow-throughStrong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions with limited dataProficient in championing change management initiativesHighly agile, capable of prioritizing and/or delegating tasks to deliver on tight deadlines with confidenceStrong collaborator, with the ability to influence and gain cooperation from peers and stakeholdersCustomer-centric mindset, high accountability, and proven ability to resolve complex business escalationsDesirable experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and VAT Registration processesDemonstrable experience in driving process improvements Job Title: Tax ManagerLocation: Brighton (Hybrid - 3 days a week)Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (flexible for right candidate)Full TimeFTC - 12 Months For more information about this Tax Manager role, please contact Chloe McCausland at Clearline Recruitment
