Tax Director required to join our client, a well-established Accountancy Practice located in York on a full time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tax regulations, proven leadership skills, and a strong ability to advise clients on complex tax matters. This role involves overseeing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for both corporate and individual clients.
Tax Director Position Overview
Advise clients on personal, corporate, and advisory tax issues.
Handle corporation tax compliance, review and finalize draft tax computations, and address queries internally and externally.
Allocate and manage team assignments.
Review team members' work.
Assist the partner with tax projects, including R&D claims, corporate restructuring, and inheritance tax planning.
Provide guidance, training, and support on various tax issues.
Organise and deliver firm-wide tax training sessions.
Research technical tax matters for partners.
Attend internal audit meetings to share relevant information.
Participate in client pre- and post-year-end planning meetings.
Be proactive in team meetings, sharing knowledge and ideas.
Attend client meetings and external events as needed.
Network with solicitors, banks, and other referrers.
Tax Director Position Requirements
CTA qualified
Relevant experience in a similar level role gained within practice
Knowledge of specialist tax areas
Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
