Tax Accountant | Central Manchester (1-2 days in the office per month) | £50,000 - £55,000Axon Moore have partnered with a key client who are looking to add a Tax Accountant to their team on a full time permament basis. This is an exceptional business who, since receiving PE investment, have grown their turnover from £50m to £200m both organically and through a number of acquisitions.We have placed a number of Finance professionals with the business in the last 2-3 years so know the teams extremely well and what it takes to succeed here!Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role is responsible for the tax accounting and administration for the group. This role will also involve working closely with the Group Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager, as well as the wider finance teamSalary and benefits:Salary £50,000 - £55,000 + discretionary annual company bonus. Up to 12% pension, 25 days holiday + bank + your birthday off. Discounts and employee assistance programme.Responsibilities include:Ensure compliance with VAT return deadlines, preparing VAT returns for the Group of companiesPrepare preliminary corporation tax computations for annual financial reporting purposesCoordinate the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teamsProvide employment tax support to the Payroll / HR teams, including coordination of annual employment tax returnsMaintain the Group's tax database and deal with administrative matters for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment tax as requiredPrepare payment requests for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment taxProvide support for the annual external audit processAssist with forecasting for all tax aspects in terms of liabilities and cash flowsSupport the Tax Manager in developing the Tax Control Framework including testing and process improvementsProvide support for ad-hoc tax issues as and when requiredPerson Specification:Part or qualified tax accountant (AAT, ATT or equivalent)Strong Microsoft Excel skillsPossess strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the desire to learn new technical skillsAbility to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleaguesStrong organisation skills with the ability to anticipate and coordinate deliverables for multiple deadlinesSelf-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPlease apply for immediate consideration.
