The company operates a flexible workplace with a mixture of home and office work.Key Responsibilities:Tax compliance and reporting:Preparation of the tax computations for the European Business Units and liaising with external adviserPreparation of tax technical analysis leading on related projects (e.g. BEPS Pillar Two, EU public country - by - country) and queriesCo-ordination of the periodic information request process for the European Business Units with stakeholders across Europe/USPerforming reconciliations of the Ledger tax accountsPrepare accounting journals for entry into the enterprise softwareKeeping abreast of legislative tax developmentsTransfer Pricing and reporting of Intercompany Transactions;Assist in the gathering of information on intercompany transactionsCheck information received is accurateAssist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation across EuropeHelp design and implement relevant Transfer Pricing PoliciesAssist in the monitoring of transfer pricing processes and policiesRespond to any queriesTax Payments:Assist in the calculation of corporation tax liabilities and post accounting entries into the accounting systemDevelopment of skills and understandingDevelop a deep and broad understanding of TM HCC's business and operations;Build knowledge of the insurance industryBuild knowledge of tax and finance conceptsOtherProvide support to and knowledge sharing within the team;Use a collaborative approach when working with others;Support a culture of continuous improvement and 'end to end process' thinking.Skills and Experience Specification:Essential:Experience in UK/International Tax compliance for large businesses with experience of usingAccounting / Tax specialist software (e.g. OneSource, Oracle Peoplesoft)Experience in Tax AccountingStrong Excel skillsExperience on wider taxes (e.g. VAT, IPT) considered advantageousFinancial Services experience is required, and any insurance industry experience considered a bonusCurrently studying towards the professional qualification (e.g. ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA)Desirable:Commitment to self-developmentCan-do attitude, energetic, enthusiastic; demonstrates persistence and adaptability;Professional approach and delivery of work product;Focus on timely delivery of quality outputs;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance teams to achieve common goals;Drive and commitment to achieve individual, project and team objectives.What We OfferThe Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
