Beam Suntory is a place where you can come Unleash your Spirit by making an impact each and every day.Role ResponsibilitiesCorporate Tax Compliance - preparation of corporation tax computations and returns for UK entities. Liaising with and providing information to external advisors to prepare corporate tax returns for our Irish entities.Tax Provisioning - Ensure accurate IFRS tax provisioning for group reporting and local financial statements.Tax Forecasting - Preparation of Budgeted tax ETR and timely tax payment calculations for UK and Ireland.Assistance with the preparation of quarterly SOX reporting.Group Compliance/Governance reporting: Help prepare various returns/submissions to meet group compliance reporting obligations (e.g., WHT, CbCR notifications, CFC, DAC6, SAO, CIR, Tax Strategy)Employment Taxes - preparation of annual employment taxes reports (e.g. PSA, P11D, STBV).Other Taxes support - provide information for transfer pricing reports; excise tax support; local R&D tax credit and incentive studies with third-party advisors, and capital allowances reviews.Tax Audits and Responses: Assist in preparing responses to local tax audits and tax authority requests.Support to the business and participation in ad hoc projects and administration.QualificationsProfessional Qualifications: Professional accountancy or tax qualifications such as CA, ATT, or CTA are preferred.Accounting Knowledge: A good knowledge of accounting principles.In-House Tax Department experience preferred but not essential.Core CompetenciesDrive for resultsStrong attention to detailPlanning and organizingRelationship building skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood UK corporate taxation knowledge required, other taxes not essentialPC skills- advanced knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint • SAP & Alphatax skills an advantageStrong accounting knowledge, including IFRSMobilityThe position is based in Glasgow, with occasional travelHybrid working model in place (3 days office based)Key Organisational Interfaces:Beam Suntory Global Tax TeamFinance DepartmentsExternal: Tax Authorities, Auditors, Advisors and Solicitors.What makes this a great opportunity?The role will give the successful candidate many opportunities to develop skills for future career progression.Competitive salary in line with market rates35 hour week, 2pm finish on a FridayHybrid work model, free on-site parking, free canteen on-site, brand ambassador allowance etcAt Beam Suntory, people are our number one priority, and we believe our people grow together in diverse and inclusive environments where their unique insights, experiences and backgrounds are valued and respected.
