Tax Accountant

Due to continued business growth, my client are delighted to be recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join their brilliant Finance team.
Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role is responsible for the tax accounting and administration for the group.

As a Tax Accountant reporting to the Tax Manager, you'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller, the Group Finance Manager and wider Finance team and will proactively manage all taxation administration queries. The scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with VAT return deadlines and preparing VAT returns for the group of companies
Preparing preliminary corporation tax computations for annual financial reporting purposes
Coordinating the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teams
Providing employment tax support to the Payroll / HR teams, including coordination of annual employment tax returns
Maintaining the Group's tax database and dealing with administrative matters for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment tax as required
Preparing payment requests for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment tax
Providing support for the annual external audit process
Assisting with forecasting for all tax aspects in terms of liabilities and cash flows
Supporting the Tax Manager in developing the Tax Control Framework including testing and process improvements
Providing support for ad-hoc tax issues as and when required
