Job Description:Working across the Raytheon UK core business areas, partnering with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and capability gaps.
The Early Careers Partner will support the training programmes and pathways from end-to-end, enabling an effective pipeline of future talent into the organisation.
Working closely with the Graduate Administrator, support the branding, sourcing, and attraction, of early careers to market the organisation as an employer of choice.What you'll do:Strategic GuidanceAligning RTX's early career programmes with strategic goals and objectives. Working closely with stakeholders to integrate programme outcomes into the strategic roadmap for future growth.Build capability and performance improvement in the graduate population (those on development programmes and alumni) to extend their organisational knowledge through a range of projects, role rotations, experiential learning, strategic projects, and volunteering. Support with the management and implementation of apprenticeship opportunities, training provider management, and management of the apprentice Levy account/ equivalent funding stream Lead on the management of apprenticeships, graduate programmes, T-Levels, work experience, and other Government initiatives. Innovative Solutions Foster innovation and adaptability by encouraging early careers employees to think beyond the ordinary, solve problems creatively, and adapt to evolving industry landscapes.Support the development of our Early Career population including the development of effective apprenticeship and graduate programmes which embrace both technical and non-technical career pathwaysInfusing innovative learning techniques and emerging industry trends into programmes, enriching the learning experience and equipping employees with cutting-edge skills and knowledgeDevelop dynamic training programmes which equip early careers with essential skills, blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on experiences to accelerate their professional growth.
Ultimately preparing them for substantive roles in line with organisational demand.Forge RelationshipsEnhancing buddying and mentorship frameworks to provide meaningful guidance and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, accelerating the development of early career talentsEngage with early careers to support their role development through coaching, mentoring to retain them for future careers with RTXManage the Government Apprenticeship Levy account, monitoring spend to ensure that available funds are fully utilised and opportunities to draw down additional funds are explored and implemented as appropriate to business needsWork with Organisational Effectiveness team to drive employee engagement and retentionCollaborate with employee resource groups to support early career programmes and events to promote early careersIdentifying funding routes for early careers and are in place to support the programmesStakeholder SupportSupport with the management and implementation of Apprenticeship opportunities, training provider management, and management of the Apprentice Levy accountImplementing feedback loops and data-driven insights to continuously optimise programme effectiveness and meet the evolving needs of RTX and early career employeesSupport with content creation for learning, working with the stakeholders, HR Business Partners, the Learning Network, employee resource groups, SMEs and suppliers and to review programmes in line with role requirements and relevant legislationBuild and maintain strong working relationships with schools, outreach providers and other external providers as appropriate.
Attend promotional events to support early careers alongside stakeholders as needed.Who we are looking for:A background in Early Careers and programme management, or previously has identified skill gaps to design training programmes, progression pathways and promote continuous learning to support employee growth and development and delivered these programmes.Experienced HR/L&D professional with significant exposure to the on-boarding and development of early career talentA passion for seeing others thrive and grow, with an appreciation of measures and approaches to enable and support individual success.Excellent planning and communication skills, able to influence at all levels of the organisation to demonstrate the value of talent developmentActively collaborates with relevant functions in learning, talent, DE&I and stakeholders to problem solve and share thinking - especially when the most difficult challenges are coming down streamA positive and innovative mindset with a passion for supporting early careersDesirable:Knowledge of the Cyber security/Software, defence or Aerospace or similar technical recruitment disciplinesCIPD qualified or relevant learning/coaching qualifications, degree level education or equivalent work experienceUnderstands the structure of funding programmes eg apprenticeship levy and/or equivalentKnowledge of working with early careers, identifying and developing talent using appropriate frameworks
