TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
Location: This role is hybrid. You can work from home, with occasional travel to Head office in Bournemouth.
Salary: £27,435.20 per year
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week – Full Time
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Tops Day Nursery.

Established over 30 years ago, Hadland Care Group comprises of two companies, including Tops Day Nurseries and the Aspire Training Team, operating throughout the South of the UK, incorporating Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon.
We are looking for someone who has previous recruitment experience ideally with volume recruitment. This is fast paced role and requires excellent organisation and communication with the ability to build rapport with ease. To be successful you will have the ability to work independently and time manage effectively through prioritising as well as working as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to understand recruitment requirements and be able to understand the qualifications within the childcare industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Actively searching for candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
Reviewing resumes, organising initial interviews, and assessing candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Coordinating and scheduling interviews, liaising with hiring managers, and providing support throughout the talent process.
Extending formal job offers to select candidates, including negotiating terms of employment such as salary, benefits, and start date.
Conducting reference checks with previous employers or other relevant sources to verify candidates' employment history, performance, and character.
Coordinating background checks, including criminal record checks, credit checks, COGC, Google Searches, as required by company policy or regulatory requirements.
Facilitating Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks or other relevant background checks.
Facilitating the offer acceptance process, ensuring that candidates complete necessary paperwork and documentation, and undertaking the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the organisation.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the talent process, including data protection laws and equal employment opportunity regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of candidates, job postings, and recruitment activities using applicant tracking systems or other tools.
Working closely with hiring managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to understand hiring needs and develop effective talent strategies.

While not a formal qualification, relevant work experience in recruitment, human resources, administration, or onboarding is highly valued.

Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude to quickly assess and address challenges that arise during the talent process, such as candidate shortages, scheduling conflicts, or negotiation issues.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, shifting market conditions, and evolving organisational needs in the talent landscape.
