About the role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the full recruitment cycle including, posting, sourcing, and all prehire clearance processes for all positions in the Balfour Beatty Investments and Communities portfolios.
What you'll be doing
Proactively networking through resume mining and database searching,
Identify appropriate posting sites/venues for open position.
Partnering with hiring managers to understand needs of the organization.
Manage both internal and external applicant flow
Managing the job fair process with HR and management team and attend
Conduct initial calibration call with managers, update at least weekly on status of opening, emailing resumes/applications and candidate summaries.
Lead Weekly recruiting calls with hiring managers by region
Runs interview debrief meetings to gage if additional sourcing needs to be conducted or ready to move forward with offer.
Assist in the identification of temporary hiring vendors and manage process for any temp to permanent hires.
Work on behalf of hiring manager with Legal to ensure contract compliance. Track all temporary employees for the purposes of head count reporting
Assist Hiring Manager and work with Coordinator on offer process.
Partner with local technical schools to present, collaborate, and connect with students
Network with prospects through industry, associations, social media, community outreach, and veteran programs
Partner with HR Business Partners on concerns and recruiting strategies as needed
Assign, prioritize, and manage the Candidate Experience Specialist efforts to effectively manage a high volume of open positions with appropriate pace in portfolio.
Lead by mentoring, developing, coaching, and holding the Candidate Experience Specialist accountable to measurable objectives.
Share best practices on sourcing strategies through innovative and advanced sourcing channels for candidates, including, but not limited to job boards, colleges, social media, employee referrals, and networking.
Ensure onboarding activities are being complete and updates are provided on assigned requisitions to Candidate Experience Specialist
Assist in the identification of temporary hiring vendors and manage process for any temp to permanent hires.
Work on behalf of hiring manager with Legal to ensure contract compliance.
Typical Physical Demands: Regularly uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Sit and stand to perform administrative work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.
Work is performed in an office environment. Employee must travel throughout the company footprint as required.
This is a hybrid/remote position.
Who we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or combination of experience
Recruiting or HR certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience
Executive recruiting experience or agency/RPO environment experience preferred
Experience in Multi-state and/or multi-location environments
Strong understanding of full cycle recruiting
General understanding of HR practices and procedures
Strong Interpersonal skills
Solid Written and Oral Communication skills
Solid Computer skills to include MS Office and HRIS/ATS (preferably Ceridian)
Strong Organizational skills
Detail Oriented
Ability to Multi-Task and Prioritize
Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required
