Bells of Lazonby are an established family baker and market leader within the food and retail sector. They have created delicious baked products for over 70 years, with a strong reputation for both their quality as well as their corporate, social and environmental responsibility.They lead the way on innovation, having been the first of their kind to open a gluten, wheat and milk free bakery, in addition to producing their more traditional products.Founded in 1946 in Cumbria, they have been on a remarkable journey and now employ over 350 people who work across their award-winning baking sites and head office.Bells of Lazonby has a fantastic reputation as an employer promoting an open and honest culture in the workplace, who empower their employees to look for solutions and share ideas with the business.Their Head Office is based in a beautifully restored station house, and they pride themselves on a waste minimalisation policy which has gained them the Queens Award for Enterprise.The business continues to thrive, and the role of Systems & IT Manager offers the opportunity to develop and grow this function over the coming years, establishing a designated technical support team for the organisation.Reporting into the Director of Finance & Administration, the role will oversee & help to develop the IT Infrastructure & systems on which the company depends.ResponsibilitiesHave full control of the IT infrastructure & systems with accountability for backup, antivirus, security & updates. Support & maintenance of internal IIT systems such as VPN, hardware, teams & outlook, operational ERP system and finance systems.Develop a methodical & proven approach to system changes and upgrades, to ensuring minimal disruptionRecommendation & implementation of improvements to processes and policies in line with industry best practiceOptimise databases using Crystal reports and SQL for data integrity and accessImplement back up and recovery procedures for critical databasesDesign and develop SQL queries to analyse dataEnsure an appropriate & timely response to internal support requests from users across the businessBudget responsibility and ensure all expenditure is proportionate for the size of requirements of the companyProcurement and administration of company hardware and software licenses including best practice commercial approachRelationship management with third party providersKnowledge, Skills & Experience Required· Proficient in coding and SQL· Previous experience in a similar role· Crystal reports (desirable)· Strong experience of IT systems, ERP systems, hardware & software· Experience of management level delivery if IT infrastructure· Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related discipline is preferred· Ability to challenge conventional thinkingPlease email your CV to apply for this position.
