An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Systems Engineer
within Rolls-Royce Naval within the Defence business based in Bristol.
The Naval team are involved in a variety of long term international programmes and projects providing innovative solutions from inception to delivery.
A Systems Engineer with experience of Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or Fluid Systems would be ideally suited to this role or an aspiring Design Engineer or Electrical Engineer with the desire and background to progress into a Systems Engineer role.
The role is focused on the holistic design and integration of the Engine Control Systems. The Systems Engineer will be a key member of the team, you will interface with other Mechanical and Electrical design teams, as well as Naval customers and Ship/ propulsion system integrators.

What you will be doing:
Systems integration across the Mechanical, Electronics and Software disciplines to develop solutions to complex problems.
Systems design and development of Gas Turbine controls systems, ancillaries and ship interface.
Validation and verification using a range of methods against control and instrumentation requirements.
Analysis control system functional behaviour to ensure the design intent is met.
Develop new processes, architectures, and ways of working.
Continuously improve on the cost and quality of our products.
Who we're looking for:
Experience of control design, system architecture and system verification vehicles in a relevant industry.
Proficiency in systems engineering, design, and analysis tools.
Knowledge in Controls and Instrumentation systems and architecture.
Strong Technical problem-solving abilities with an ability to understand the level of analysis required.
Knowledge of delivering solutions to industry or certification standards.
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a STEM related subject.
