Hardware Systems Engineer
Location: Broad Oak or New Malden
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Negotiable hourly rate on offer (inside IR35)
The team exists to provide hardware development services across a variety of projects. The role will cover a number of facets including development of Shared Infrastructure (SI) Systems, testing and issue resolution across a number of naval platforms.
What you'll be doing:
Generation of design, test and installation documentation
Investigation and resolution of design issues
Design and build of electrical and hardware systems to achieve successful acceptance
Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
Use of Visio for Hardware design
Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
Design proving, to include various environmental aspects
Proven Ability / Key Skills
Essential
Proven ability in a hardware domain.
Knowledge of the full lifecycle.
Knowledge and proven ability of equipment development using COTS hardware.
Ability to author and understand technical and design documentation.
Desirable
Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment.
Proven ability with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution.
