Systems Engineer

What you'll be doing:

• Generation of design, test, and installation documentation
  
• Investigation and resolution of design issues
  
• Design and build of electrical and hardware systems to achieve successful acceptance
  
• Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
  
• Use of Visio for Hardware design
  
• Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
  
• Design proving via a combination of in-house testing and external test houses
  
• Authoring of test specs for shock, vibration, EMC and others
  

The skills required: To have worked previously in complex multi-project environments & to a background in the hardware domain. Knowledge & experience of equipment development using COTS hardware. You'll also need the ability to author and understand technical and design documentation.

Bonus points for: Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution & familiarity with blade, PC and networking technologies

Due to the nature of this programme Security Clearence is required. You must have lived in the UK for 5 years or more.
