Engineering Systems Architect - Home based with travel as needed to Kingston upon Thames / Surrey / Bristol twice per month
Salary:Up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Delivering a roadmap for an integrated and supported Enterprise for Engineering tooling
· Running a team of Technical experts to deliver and evolve architected solutions
· Liaising with key stakeholders in the customer and Technical Authority community to establish, understand, and deliver against the requirements
· Promoting and leveraging technology to provide always on, remotely accessible and automated solutions across the enterprise to improve efficiency, and continuous integration of our products
· Support the functionality delivered in production and proactively discover issues and resolve them before business impact
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
· Demonstratable a track record of architect and delivering complex IT systems
· Thorough understanding of end-to-end Engineering Enterprise and requirements of tooling and development platforms
· Knowledge of industry-leading virtualisation products and ability to understand their relative merits and applicability to the task
Desirable:
· Knowledge of VMware technologies and experience of its application in delivered systems
· Established delivery of Design Certified products
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered

Our Engineering Enablement Team:
As an Engineering Systems Architect your role will be concerned with Enterprise Design of all our Tooling solutions and how they integrate. You will act as Systems Design Authority and lead technical engineer for all Engineering owned tooling and platforms, including Capital projects. The platforms we are responsible for are critical tools for up to 2000 users in the business.
The key output is to lead the architecting and implementation of INTeDEV, the virtualised Development Platform for Combat Systems engineers, as well as ensuring the range of tools it supports are thoroughly integrated into a cohesive and efficient end to end enterprise.
As part of the onboarding for this role, you will need to be eligible for Security clearance. To be eligible for security clearance you must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.

Salary: £50,000.00-£71,995.00 per year
