As our Systems Accountant, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our finance systems and processes. From building out reporting structures to designing internal controls and driving system enhancements, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.AJ Bell is a dynamic and growth-oriented business, you will work with an experienced and ambitious team, who are passionate about delivering the Group’s purpose to help people invest.What does the job involve?Collaborating with the finance team to build out the reporting structure and dashboard structure, including management reporting and year-end reports;Designing and implementing internal system controls to safeguard financial data integrity;Acting as the Superuser for our finance systems, overseeing system changes, integrations, and automation enhancements;Evaluating and proposing improvements to system functionality to maximise efficiency and effectiveness;Maintaining and evolving our Chart of Accounts to support evolving business needs;Ensuring system permissions align with approved roles and responsibilities and ensure segregation of duties are in place;Providing training and support to colleagues to enhance their proficiency in using Oracle and other systems;Collaboration with our IT teams;Supporting the annual external audit process, particularly IT General Controls for Finance.What we’re looking for:Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3 years minimum post qualified experienceExperience with Oracle NetSuite is desirable, but not essential.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including modelling capabilities.A solid understanding of finance data, systems, and processes.A solid understanding of controls and best practice.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.About usAJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers, to DIY investors with little to no experience.
