Job Title: Systems Engineer (Mid to Senior)
Location: London, UK
Pay Range/details: Up to £75 per hour / £600 per day
Contract Type: Contract - 6 Months
Omega is working with this world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of cutting-edge radar systems, with a focus on the Maritime and Surveillance markets for both the Space and Defence industries.
The System Engineer will be working closely with the Surveillance Systems unit, to help develop and deliver funded projects on state-of-the-art radar technology. The System Engineer will be working on all aspects of the system engineering lifecycle, from concept through to delivery, including bid support, design, and integration at the end-user level.
Please note, due to the nature of projects, all candidates MUST be eligible for relevant clearance and therefore must hold a British Passport, and meet all guidelines for clearance.
Key Responsibilities – Systems Engineer
All aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle from System Concept through to Delivery and Acceptance, including Bid Support, System Design, Integration, Verification, and Customer Acceptance.
Specification, development, integration, verification, and acceptance of systems for both Internal and External Customers.
Deal with a variety of people from different disciplines, organisations, and nationalities daily to deliver the systems engineering aspects of projects, as required.
Take an active role in the definition, realisation, and proof of new products
Manage stakeholders throughout the system lifecycle through a proactive approach and effective communication.
Create a variety of technical documentation for both technical and non-technical readership.
Qualifications & Requirements – System Engineer
Experience in systems design, integration & test.
An understanding of Systems and Product lifecycles from concept through to delivery.
An understanding of a range of Engineering disciplines (Software, Mechanical, and Electrical)
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all level
The flexibility to apply skills and knowledge across several different projects and products
Computer literate with a good standard of written English, capable of compiling accurate, detailed, and well-presented technical proposals, specifications and reports
A willingness to travel
Degree (or equivalent) qualified in an engineering or science discipline
