Our IT department pushes the limits of technology and innovation across our global business. From user services to software engineers, the whole department comes together to implement cutting-edge technology solutions allowing our teams to do what they do best.
The system administrator plays a vital role in collaborating on IT infrastructure projects across EMEA and globally. As part of a team, you will design and implement solutions to technology challenges as well as provide 3rd line support across Hologics on-premises and cloud-based estate.
Responsibilities will include:
Maintain Active Directory
Participate in On-Call rotation
Troubleshoot/resolve hardware and software issues with Windows systems as needed
Monitor Windows server performance and availability
Promote and maintain server patch management practices
Provide metrics for capacity management purposes
Monitor server load and implement load balancing when needed
Identify, upgrade, and replace server hardware where appropriate
Conduct periodic HA/DR planning exercises as required
Manage and participate in projects as assigned and work with team members across the company to deliver project goals.
Resolve assigned trouble tickets and maintain accurate status in Hologics ticketing systems
Ensure that all security requirements are met or exceeded
Document technical designs and procedures
Communicate information through effective written and oral communication and presentations.
Required profile:
Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems or equivalent is desirable
Professional certifications -Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix is desirable
Windows Server experience
VMware virtualization experience
Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans
Ability to communicate potentially complex solutions clearly and comprehensively to audiences of varying technical ability and understanding
Self-directed and capable of working on several projects and efforts simultaneously
