This is a critical role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and innovative company.Ref: 27211Location: LondonCategory: AccountingType: PermanentOverviewKey Duties (including, but not limited to):To take responsibility for the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of the Syndicate general ledger, with ownership of all aspects of the day-to-day Syndicate accounting.To design, develop and maintain financial controls for the all-ledger processes to be as streamlined as possibleTake responsibility for the reconciliation, balancing, investigation and clearance of general ledger accounts ensuring robust financial control is maintained over all accountsPrepare and present analytical reviews of the Syndicate balance sheet with commentary to the wider Syndicate Finance teamsMaintain control over all underwriting controls accounts ensuring balances are tightly monitoredQualifications required:Qualified accountant preferable (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)Experience required:Experience within the London Insurance Market. Experience of the operations of a Lloyd's Syndicate ledger is preferableExcel functionality to an intermediate user level (e.g. Pivot Tables, Lookups)Good knowledge of Great Plains / Dynamics GP general ledgerData analysis tools and techniquesKnowledge of the suite of Power tools (e.g. PowerPivot, PowerQuery and PowerBI) is preferable but not essential
