Job Role: Independent Foster Care AssessorLocation/Team: Southamption and surrounding areasSalary Range: £2,000 per completed assessmentSwiis Foster Care is currently recruiting Independent Assessors to work on a sessional basis undertaking Skills Assessments on prospective foster carers to cover Southampton and the surrounding areas.The Assessors will benefit from £2,000 per completed assessment and comprehensive professional support and training, plus travel expenses, and will be expected to work flexible hours.As an experienced assessor, you will work within the agreed agency timescales to assess and prepare prospective foster carer applicants. You would also be expected to be available for Supervision with the Registered Manager during the assessment process and will need to attend training with Swiis, as requested.RequirementsMA/BA in Social Work/DipSW/CQSWCurrent HCPC registrationExperience in completing Form F assessments2 years of post-qualification experience in family placement/fosteringPrior experience of undertaking social work assessmentsRecognised professional social work qualificationKnowledge of child care legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives pertaining to foster careWillingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekendsAbility to produce high-quality assessmentsConfidence and proficiency in presenting to the agency panelDriving license and own transportAbility to work in the UK without visa restrictions£2,000 per completed assessmentOn-going training provided for all sessional social workersJob Type: FreelancePay: £30.00 per hourFlexitimeLicence/Certification:HCPC (required)MA/BA in Social Work/DipSW/CQSW (required)Work Location: RemoteAbout SwiisSwiis Foster Care is a national leading Independent Fostering Agency with consistently Outstanding Ofsted inspections due in part to the high-quality service provided to our foster carers and children and young people in our care.
