Sustainability Technician/AutoCAD Technician

A great opportunity in Preston for a Graduate fresh from an Architectural Engineering or Building Services Engineering degree or a candidate with a couple of years of experience of using AutoCAD and IES within another Construction or Engineering company.

This opportunity is to work within a Chartered Building Services Engineering Consultancy in Preston. This is an opportunity to work closely with the Lead Engineer in the Sustainability, Energy and Decarbonisation department learning about Energy Management and Carbon Reduction strategies on Estates and in Buildings whilst also gaining enhanced experience of working on AutoCAD and understanding the fundamentals of a full M&E design.

Eventually, with organic and measured growth within the energy and sustainability team this Sustainability Technician/AutoCAD Technician role will become a full time Sustainability role. You will then work with the companies' clients which range from Blue Chip organisations, estates teams, FM providers and various frameworks, working within their core sectors but would an added advantage, these include but are not limited to; Healthcare, Education, Industrial and Commercial.

You will join a large team in total including all the engineering, digital and back-office support staff. The business is one the largest in the sector in the area so this will be a great launch pad for your career in the industry, working on a wide range of projects and being trusted to liaise with the clients earlier than you would be in other organisations.
To be successful in your application for this role, you will need to be capable of using AutoCAD and IES/TAS and be an existing Sustainability Technician/AutoCAD Technician or vice versa. A passion to work within the Sustainability, carbon reduction and Energy management sector is a must as this will become your day to day in time.
