Our Environmental, Social & Governance team, as part of our Corporate Affairs department, is looking for a Sustainability Manager to join them on a 10-12 month fixed term contract basis.

About the Role
This key role within the Harrods ESG team looks after two Harrods' important ESG functions - the 'Community' and 'Our People' pillars of the Harrods Path ESG strategy. By leading on these two pillars (sitting alongside the Business, Product and Partnerships & Innovation Pillars), you are driving forward the Harrods path to a more sustainable future. The impact the role has is huge, and you will be responsible for bringing our community of colleagues along the journey.
This role drives forward two pivotal aspects of the ESG strategy, and has a tangible impact on the business - both in terms of embedding our ESG strategy amongst our colleagues (a key aspect of how we will deliver our strategy), and the impact Harrods has on our wider community, by how we give back as an organisation.
This position sits alongside other Sustainability Managers and two Sustainability Executives. They report to the Head of Corporate Affairs, however Sustainability Manager works closely with business directorates related to their role. For this role, that would mean working closely with HR, Employee Experience, and Communications.
About You
Ideally, you will be a someone with project management skills and a knowledge of how a large, commercial business works from the inside out. You will know who to go to in order to support your endeavours and nourish those relationships. You will have a deep interest in and experience of community-related activities, such as working with charity partners, and have good knowledge and understanding of the DEI field.
You will also have:
Good relationship management & excellent communication skills, able to partner senior management. Project management, organisational and activity tracking skills A keen understanding of DEI and people-related ESG opportunities, legislation and regulation. Knowledge of brand identity and its importance Able to work collaboratively, cross-functionally, and bring those teams together About Us
